Well you’re right!
In a 2023 version of Pig-Latin, kids are hiding whole conversations in emojis. Whilst most are pretty PG, there are a few that parents may want to have a ‘conversation’ with their kiddos about.
Most kids probably find these incredibly funny and silly (*giggle-giggle* how embarrassing), perhaps don’t even know their meaning (and are too embarrassed to ask when their friends use them) or will simply love the opportunity to ‘teach’ us old fogeys exactly what they mean.
I love any opportunity to have a conversation with my kids about the ‘difficult’ stuff and a fun and lighthearted chat about emojis (where I give you the key intel), is the perfect opportunity…
Whilst this is by no means an exhaustive list and as more emojis are added or as our kids get more creative, we will definitely need to add more in.
